About ME

I am a research assistant at the Goethe University in Frankfurt and love cooking and baking. That was not always so, because as a child I was interested in what was on the table and even as a teenager I found activities in the kitchen rather annoying, because they were associated with tidying and cleaning.
My love of cooking and baking did not develop until the end of my school days, and I even toyed with the idea of becoming a cook, but then decided against it and decided to keep cooking as a nice hobby.

I never learned to cook and bake, and my mother did not really show me the "basics of cooking," because she could not stand it if there was anyone else in the kitchen besides her. She was afraid that she would have to renovate the kitchen afterwards.
My "cooking and baking skills" are therefore more based on self-experimentation and tips and tricks that I have picked up either on television, in newspapers or mothers of my girlfriends or ex-friends.

Probably my cooking enthusiasm is also due to the fact that I had to be on my own relatively early and due to the early death of my parents, I had to take care of myself as well as my siblings and just had to cook.
